Welcome to
The SonRise Project
The SonRise Project began not in a boardroom, but in the depths of a parent's worst fear. In 2018, my eldest son attempted suicide. In that moment, everything I had built professionally—the business successes, the campaigns reaching millions, the accolades, the Emmy—became background noise to one deafening truth: I didn't know how to help my child, and I didn't know where to turn.
That's why The SonRise Project was born. What began as a lifeline for myself in early 2020 became a community of thousands of people, with weekly virtual gatherings to hold space for each other's pain, celebrate each other's victories, and refuse to let shame silence our hope.
Most importantly, SonRise helps people with profound personal transformation. From control to surrender, personal identity reconstruction, and changing ourselves so we can transform our relationships with our children.

We invite you to join our weekly SonRise Support Calls, where we come together to connect, share lived experiences, and learn to rebuild our relationships – with ourselves and our families.
During these weekly calls, you'll have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations or simply listen and take it all in. It's a safe space where you can express your fears, share your triumphs, and gather strength from the collective wisdom and support of each other.

Navigating the Mental Health Crisis Among Black Youth
Sonrise took center stage in an impactful and enlightening episode. Renowned journalist Ed Gordon, the host of BET's influential program "America in Black," delved deep into the pressing mental health crisis that profoundly impacts Black youth.
Sonrise hosted a live broadcast featuring an insightful conversation with the renowned Tabitha Brown, focusing on the emotional well-being of our children. The discussion aimed to support and guide parents in nurturing their children's mental health.
