Ep. 116: SonRise to SONSET: Shewonia Bowman

Don't miss out on this time of transparency. We deserve a safe space where we can share our stories, learn from one another, and feel supported.

We are happy to welcome back the amazing Shewonia Bowman. Shewonia, among many other things, is a dedicated caregiver. She recently experienced the loss of her father and now cares for her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer's is an irreversible disease that slowly destroys memory, thinking skills, and the ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. Despite all of her trials and tribulations, Shewonia uses her breadth of knowledge to research, speak to professionals, and share her journey and experience with this disease that impacts an estimated 2.2 million African Americans.

If you are a caregiver, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss.
